YOGA & MEDITATION
YOGA
Yoga is soul surfing - a rendezvous with yourself and your nature.
Let yourself be carried through space and time on the wave of your breathing. Be in the moment, give yourself your full attention, explore your feelings and anatomy. Open up new spaces for your body and mind.
We can view each yoga pose as an exercise for an everyday challenge in life. The aim is to master both the physical exercise and any other situation with a combination of a little tension and as much relaxation as possible.

Our challenges often are rooted in ourselves and our attitude. If we overcome diffuse moods and recognize our feelings we put ourselves in a position to deal with them honestly and constructively, maintain our attitude, and act effectively.
Many years of my yoga practice have accompanied me through both particularly good times and difficult phases. I have often found peace, support and even comfort through meditation, breathing techniques and physical exercises.
The term yoga covers a wide range of different forms. In my style, I refer physical exercise (asana), meditation and breathing (pranayama) and combine these individually with methods from other concepts and disciplines. For me, yoga is not a fixed construct. Rather, it offers me a flowing, holistic concept. Thanks to its comprehensive philosophy it can be applied in almost all areas of life. Accordingly, I incorporate yoga elements into many of my methods and adapt them to your individual requirements and needs.
A wide range of options for your yoga path:

Yin
A short activation of the system is followed by a primarily passive and relaxing yoga session. This session than consisting of calm postures supported by aids such as blankets and cushions. The aim is to reach the deep, fascial structure in order to restore its natural flexibility and keep the body supple and pain-free.
Restorative
Gentle mobilisation is followed by strong and stabilising postures that have a relaxing effect on body and mind. Various aids are also used here. The aim is to restore your strength and mobility by restoring your physical structures and nervous system.
Vinyasa Flow
Activating, flowing yoga style in which the movement is orientated towards the breathing. After the activation and warm-up phase, the postures are practised from the sun salutations. This yoga style originally developed from Ashtanga yoga.

YOGA & SURFING
With a little imagination, yoga can become surfing on land for us ...
On our yoga mats, we ride the waves of our breath while seeking (and finding) peace within ourselves, just as we do on the water. Through our breath,we consciously bring body and mind into harmony and learn to manage our emotions. Our movements follow the rhythm ofour breathing. We explore our structures and emotions, gently learning to align our actions and feelings effectively.
In the time between sets, of waves, surfers experience a meditative connection with the greater whole, a calmness of mind, and an intense feeling of unity and harmony with nature while remaining mindful and focused. This state is comparable to the experience of breath, meditation, and movement in yoga. Mental strength and concentration are enhanced, as well as strength, coordination, flexibility, and balance. The combination of all these aspects, along with active stretching and functional athletic exercises, prepares you well for your time in the sea and also
helps to prevent injuries.
It’s about playfully exploration, getting to know your own abilities better, gently activating the senses, and using them purposefully. The range of motion is consciously utilized, new stimuli are introduced for the body and mind, neural connections are reactivated, and selfawareness is shaped. Surf-yoga supports optimal preparation for the time in the water, enabling us to use it confidently and to navigate our daily lives at home in a healthy and free way!

Meditation
Meditation describes a collection of various practice methods. These exercises help us detach from external stimuli and the daily carousel of thoughts, turn our attention inward, and help us finding peace.
The goal is to be fully present in the moment. To achieve this, we allow our thoughts to slow down, learn to direct them consciously, and focus on what is essential. Gradually, we become more mindful in perceiving, understanding, and accepting what happens within us on both a physical and mental level.
Whether sitting, standing, walking, or during a relaxing activity: practicing meditation brings about lasting positive changes in thinking, feeling, and perception. It provides us withstability in an unstable world.

Pranayama

Breath is life. More than food or even water. The exchange of oxygen forms the foundation of our existence and thus all processes. Most of the time, we breathe unconsciously. Breathing functions, like many processes in our body, "automatically." We often only become aware of the quality of our breath when a deficiency occurs.
Through the practice of pranayama, we learn to direct our life energy, "prana." Through breathing exercises, we consciously connect body and mind. We become one with the moment, finding peace within ourselves, which also supports meditative states. We allow the mind to calm down by focusing on our breath and following it with our thoughts. With the help of different exercises, we can consciously calm or activate our nervous system as needed. Additionally, we train our respiratorymuscles and can positively influence metabolic processes.
What I particularly like about this fundamental element of holistic bodywork is the aspect of cycles. Everything in nature exists as a cycle. We are a part of it, even if we sometimes forget or do not behave accordingly. The human body, with all ist processes, forms the most diverse cycles, just like each of our breaths.
muami moves - the "open" secret of endless movement
Let’s revisit the idea of cycles. The "automatic" and, in many cases, perfect interplay of our team becomes evident only when we notice that our life energy can no longer flow freely. This can manifest as physical, mental, or emotional blockages. We can consciously and positively support our inner team – this cooperative team of diverse cells, structures, and processes that always strives for our best – by engaging in gentle yet focused movements, celebrating them both physicallyand mentally.
In the harmoniously flowing, individual movement sequences, we practice a moving meditation that is in harmony with your breath. This technique allows you to fully immerse yourself in the here and now. The combination of gentle movements, pranayama, and meditation strengthen a deeper unity with yourself and your existence. It helps you to be present in the momentand to experience a more intense connection with your inner self, finding freedom and expression in your movements.
